There may be times when you will want
to process an order off-line, meaning without using your website eOrder
form or eShopping Cart. A customer may, for example, telephone an
order in or snail-mail an order, and you will need to manually place
that order yourself.
Your eCommerce Toolkit includes two methods for you to process credit card orders offline. One method uses your database. This is the SafeCharge system which is explained below. The other method does not use your database, but functions more like an electronic swiping machine. This is eTerminal. Please refer to your eTerminal manual for instructions on how to use that system.
eOrder Form Note: If you use the eOrder Form instead of the eShopping Cart the SafeCharge option does not apply. Instead, you may place off-line database orders from your website, using your eOrder Form and entering customer information yourself.

SafeCharge allows you to enter customer
orders placed off-line using your database. You will fill out the
order form much the way it is done online, only you will manually enter
the product numbers and customer information yourself. Using this
method for off-line orders will help keep your bookkeeping records more
consistent.
To Begin
- Click on the hyperlink that reads Process With Database - SafeCharge in the Offline Order Processing section at the bottom of your Web Merchant eManager.
- You will be taken to a screen that will begin the process of taking you step by step through placing an offline order.
- Enter your product codes for the ordered items one at a time.
- Each time you enter a product code you will get an Add to Cart screen. Select any applicable attributes for the product and enter the correct quantity.
- Click on the Add to Order button to add the product to the order and return to the SafeCharge Offline Order Processor screen.
- When you are finished entering your product codes, click on the No More Products For This Order—Continue button.
- You will now be taken to a secure order form. The current order will be at the top of the page and will contain the products you have just entered. Below that will be the Customer billing and shipping forms You will need to enter this information and select the form of payment.

- If you selected credit card as the form of payment you will get a screen for entering your customers credit card information. Once you have submitted the order it will be treated by the system the same as any order placed online at your website would be.
