SUPPORT AND HELP

Merchant Account Problems? If you have questions or need assistance with your Merchant Account, send email to: support@merchanthelpdesk.com. Be sure to follow the same guidelines outlined below. If you need assistance with any part of your eTerminal account (not your merchant account) you may contact us by email at support@ecommercehelpdesk.com We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and support, and you will find our support staff friendly and knowledgeable. To help our support staff help you in the most timely and efficient manner, please keep the following guidelines in mind whenever possible.
- Please do not send email attachments, especially images, to support. If you need to send us a data file or any other type of attachment, let us know and we will give you an email address to use.
- ALWAYS include an appropriate subject with your email messages. Do not use such subjects as HELP or QUESTIONS. These are so commonly used it is difficult to sort through them and give no hint to the actual subject. Also, please change the subject when the support problem changes. Using the same thread for your letter today as you used last month will drop your letter down to the thread from a month ago and we may not be able to find it.
- NEVER leave the subject blank. Sometimes messages with blank subjects are dropped to the bottom of the board by the email support archival system.
- Please set your email program to "Text only" (disable HTML) when writing to support.
- Include your name, business name and if possible, your account code in support emails to help us identify you as quickly as possible.
- Be as specific as you can be about your problem. For example, if you are getting an error, tell us where you were, what you were doing right before you got the error, and if possible, copy/paste the error into your email to us. The more information you can give us, the more quickly we can track, diagnose and solve your problem.
HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL
Return to Main Index
This manual is designed to be used as both a step-by-step guide to understanding and setting up your eCommerce account for the first time, and as a quick reference guide for experienced users. You will find a short list of the sub-topics covered within each chapter on the chapter page for quick-reference. Graphics have been used generously throughout this manual, as well as eTool Tip boxes for quick hints and tips. You will find a Glossary of Terms in the back of this book , as well as an Index to help you find what you need quickly and easily. However…
At the time of printing this manual was updated to include all of the current options and functions of the eCommerce account. However, eCommerce Tools, Inc. regularly adds new, innovative functions to the system to increase performance and usability for it's users. For this reason it is strongly recommended that this manual be used in conjunction with the online AutoNews system.AutoNews is an automated system designed to bring you the latest news and updates on your eCommerce account. Every time something new is added to the system, you will get an AutoNews update message the next time you log-in to your Web Merchant eManager. The message will also inform you of the number of update messages you have not yet read. To read those messages select Yes before clicking on the Okay button to delete the current notice, or Send by Email to have the current message emailed to you.
If you select Yes, you will be taken to a page which will list the Announcement Topics you have not read. Simply click on the Read link to view an update.
You may also view the entire AutoNews Archive at any time to review past updates. This is especially recommended for new users of the eCommerce Toolkit. The URL for the AutoNews is:
http://www.gochargeit.com/autonews/archive.htm
Also, don’t hesitate to take advantage of the Customer Support and Help tools listed in the Support and Help section of this manual. eCommerce Tools Inc. prides itself on unparalleled Customer Support, and values your satisfaction and patronage above all else.
